Honeycomb Chocolate Ice cream
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp golden syrup
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 150 grams chocolate chips
- 300 ml cream
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Grease a baking tray
- Combine sugar and golden syrup in a pot
- Stir until sugar dissolves
- Stir for one minute until golden
- Stir in baking soda
- Pour onto baking tray to set
- Place 1/4 cup of cream and chocolate in heatproof bowl
- Heat until chocolate is melted
- Break honeycomb into small pieces
- Whip remaining cream
- Whip egg whites
- Beat yolks and sugar then beat into chocolate
- Fold in whipped cream into chocolate mixture
- Fold in egg whites into chocolate mixture
- Freeze for about 6 hours
